Patch #109 Sing to the Prairie ...

Original Post

Really, it was quite remarkable. As we left the B&B it was pouring rain, but after half an hour it started to let up. In this image, the blue dot that was our car had just skirted the edge of the storm, moving from northeast to southwest ...

and while it appeared our luck was about to change for the worse, instead the clouds lightened ...

So I sang to the prairie and the clouds lightened further ...

then broke, revealing the blue behind them ...

Music playing ...

once again the horizon darkened ...

So we stopped for lunch, letting the storm roll over us. Then drove the final miles in the sun ...

returning home at last to a well-watered garden ...

A mere 5.2" ... we were far more fortunate than our neighbors to the south.

I have no doubt that your well wishes (and those of Sue and Marti and all who visit here), carried us safely through. Thanks to all!
