So yeah, daily-ish got old real fast. So weekly-ish is my new motto ... ha!
I was a lucky recipient of a Nancy E mail drop this week, and one piece in particular tickled me ...
If you look closely, you'll see that the eyes, nose, whiskers and mouth of the cat actually look like two little critters grinning at each other through a window.
Also in the news, I'm starting a new batch of peace pins with a goal of making fifty for a spiritual retreat in mid-March. Here's the first batch of ten ...
With thanks to Deb for the dyed floss ...
and to Tina for the gift of hand-dyed cloth ...
I especially like that my new pins will allow both sides to show ... because, who wouldn't want to see both?!

Liz~ Oh, ha! Now I see how they are looking at each other! I hadn't even noticed that 🙂 Love the new Peace pins and the simple safety pin to fasten them where need be. The colors are both beautiful and peaceful. I look forward to what you may share about the retreat. May you be filled with peace each day. ~Nancy
ReplyDeleteLiz, you are an inspiration - that's a great design. And the hand-dyed cloth is gorgeous. Peace, patience, and persistence! ♥♥ Lyn
ReplyDeleteHi L - ha ha - so easy for time to rush by us. Love the new batch of pins in the making and how good that they carry so much gifted kindness to go with peace. There are special moments of peace and kindness that just keep us going. Go gently. B
ReplyDeleteYou spread peace and quiet joy with your continued devotion to the making of these very special pins. I've never been on a spiritual retreat but I can imagine that quietly handing out these meaningful Peace pins is a great beginning to finding spirit within. Tina's colors remind me of the sky and the glow of sunset; both calming and comforting and there is a lovely sense of community and connection with her cloth and your stitching. Marti
