Originally I expected to spend the morning brush whacking ... but an allergic reaction from yesterday's yard work put me under the weather. Worse yet, my iron died, effectively shutting down my patchplay ...
So I reorganized my fabric stash instead ...
and then, since I was on a roll, I tidied up my flosses ...
Last, but not least, I headed out after lunch to splurge on a new iron ...
So my plan for tomorrow? Who needs plans?
How productive your day was after all! Your patch stash is growing impressively.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice iron. I need one too.
I've been a Rowenta fan for a long time, even though this is my third one in twenty years.
DeleteAs for the patches, I'm getting into the flow, trying not to rush to the next step too soon.
Well seems to me Liz that you did a kind of internal brush whacking with the organizing of your cloth stash and floss! Lovely cloth colors and I'm swooning over your flosses, they ripple right off the screen. Something so soothing about organizing cloth piles and threads. For me it is a monthly ritual that oftentimes is the start to stitching a cloth; other times that vision comes right after removing the cloth from the dye pot. As we move into my favorite season of autumn, watching a pile of dyed cloths fill my basket is a gift that I give to myself for the coming winter . Oh and one more thing about organizing and sorting cloth, well I am a Virgo, enough said!
ReplyDeleteIt was an exquisite irony that I had a career as an organizer of books ... really, my innate tendency is toward total disorder bordering on chaos. I'd look to see if it's a Gemini thing, but Don shares my sign and is the most organized person I know. We are yin and yang for sure.
Deletewow...what an iron!
ReplyDeleteIt's probably been ten years since I bought one ... I was amused to see how they've changed shape. I mean seriously, it looks like it should be on a launch pad.
Deletelove seeing these little squares here too.
ReplyDeleteResting on your September Window ...
DeleteA Rowenta - good for you. Finally treated myself to one the last time mine died!
ReplyDeleteI figured having a Rowenta costs me ten dollars a year ... and well worth it!
