- Trick or treat?

We don't get many trick or treaters in our neighborhood, so we were pleasantly surprised to see someone coming up the driveway ...


But he bypassed the front door and made tracks for the compost heap. 

Smart as a fox ...

      The grey foxes in Texas are beautiful creatures ... larger than the red foxes I grew up with on the East Coast. Strangely, the squirrels here are red and smaller than the grey squirrels I grew up with. Go figure ... they're all wily as can be!

      They are beautiful creatures. Later we watched our resident turkeys fly up into the live oaks to roost for the night. Pretty amazing.
