After a day full of shopping and errands yesterday, I once again had some catching up to do ...
Patches 80-82 |
Sunday revisited ...
a late-night myopic view of Monday's waxing gibbous moon (courtesy of Deb Lacativa) ...
and the green grass growin' all around and around ....
Three more spectacular patches....I especially like the grass.
ReplyDeleteHa ... my eccentric take on Turkey stitch
DeleteHi Liz...what did you use to create the flower patch?
ReplyDeleteSusan - I used Derwent Inktense pencils, touched them with a just barely wet paintbrush (lest the color wick into the linen too much), ironed dry, then outlined the petals with an XS Pitt pen. I have to credit Sharon Tomlinson with the show-how here: http://sharonscloth.blogspot.com/2015/12/inktense-play.html
Deletethese three just Flow. the myopic view could not be more perfect...
ReplyDeletewill you stitch the flower or leave it as is?
Thanks Grace ... I think I'm going to start posting every two or three patches in the future. Don't think I'll stitch the flower (I like the ink outline), but your question made me think I might stitch the leaves and stems.
DeleteP.S. Myopia, as with deafness, has its advantages.
DeleteEaster Blessings to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteSue
Wishing you and yours a joyful Easter
DeleteI love your grass! Very clever. Although, that song has always made me a little nuts, sang it too many times in my pre-K teaching days.
ReplyDeleteOops ... sorry to plant a song in your head (pun intended, and it's a baaaad one, as most are).
