Retrospective (9/14)
Patch #243 Rain chain
Original post
So, no patch yet (travel will cause me to go back to my retrospective strategy), but lots of pictures ...
Front porch ...
weathered flatware rain chain ...
complete with rain drops ...
my stitching window ...
and the view from there ...
the side garden ...
up close ...
the back garden ...
by the driveway ...
and the breezeway ...
Many of the plantings were here when we moved in, but they have grown and Don has added all the rock work plus many new plants. Well worth remembering and very much appreciated by our neighbors ...
Thank you for the tour of your lovely gardens. They do look lush and refreshing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ... I'll have to be sure to do a droughted view the next time we have a dry spell. That's the magic: how it can a fade away and then rise from the dust when the rain returns.
Deleteit's all so very beautiful and well maintained! a very different landscape from our's which is why it is fascinating to observe from a distance
ReplyDeleteI love working with the native plants ... they go dormant, virtually disappearing from view during long periods of heat and drought, only to spring up at the next good rain.
