I scored some great Christmas hooks and bells at Hobby Lobby and am now busily stitching this year's ornaments. Since I can hardly reveal the a-side, you'll have to settle for a peek at the b-side ...

Liz...I love these ornies! What a great idea. Love it! You are so creative and a true inspiration. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue ... I'm using some 1 1/2" patches from another project that fizzled. Everything becomes useful if you just keep it in the pantry until you need it.
ReplyDeletewhat a good present made with heart!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mo ... my tail was really dragging last month and I had given up on the idea of making anything this year. Fortunately, I was able to get myself turned around and back on track. The ornaments are small, but they do indeed have a lot of heart in them.
ReplyDeletei look forward to seeing the fronts! just like your daily patches, there end up being so many things you could commemorate for each ornament for the year.
ReplyDeletei love those hooks, tho i don't care for them in the gold, which is what i seem to be stuck with. so i pulled out a few paper clips, silver ones.
i was on a roll with ornaments this year. i made 3 different ones, 1 for cards to be mailed and the other 2 for my grandgirls. i want them to have ornaments for their future tree when they are on their own. i made and gave them as party favors for my daughters Nov. 1 bday. for many years.
(there were to many dark depressed years in between, so i give myself permission to gloat, tho it is extremely rude.)
Vicky - FYI Hobby Lobby has the hooks in white metal, too ... and there are two sizes
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of making ornaments for your grandkids ... I haven't gotten that far, so gloat away
