Back to the future

Well, this is my first test of whether or not I will return to blogging here instead of WordPress (where I will leave a trail of thread-crumbs).

Sadly, it’s a post about our favorite gallery in our latest hometown, closing after seven wonderful years. I made a wine bottle label so we could gift the owners with a collage of the seven paintings we purchased at Assemblage …

Then we headed over to say thank you to Jacquie and Geraldo for all the wonderful memories and to say good-bye to the space they curated …

Happily, they will still be living in town and their business will continue virtually, so it’s actually more of a fare-you-well … and thanks for the memories!

  1. I have been noticing that there are fewer galleries and even museums where I live and it is a sad commentary. The wine label is wonderful and so good that you had the chance to say goodbye.

    1. Fortunately Assemblage will continue to exist online, but there's nothing like seeing art in person, whether in galleries or museums.

    1. I smile as I recall we used to make wine labels as Christmas presents many years ago ... when I realized no one was actually drinking the wine, I switched to using sparkling apple cider bottles ;)

    1. Thanks muchly ... I recently found photo quality adhesive paper that runs through my inkjet printer ... much easier than the "good old days" when I had to apply labels with double-faced tape
