Patch #103: Dianthus for Meliss ...

Original Post

When we come to St Louis, there's always something to do. Like putting in some dianthus ...

They're a little shocky, but they'll get over it ...

It's not all work and no play, however. We took the kids to the Myseum (yes, that's how it's spelled). Jace fed a triceratops ...

Turn around, Jace ...

While big brother Jackson unearthed some bones ...

Turn around, J!

Hmm, well maybe we'll get a shot at the next play area ...

Okay, that's a little better. The truth is, three-year-olds run a lot faster than younger sibs, who are more likely to stay still for the perfect pose ...

  1. I have always cherished this quote from the late environmentalist Rachel Carson; it speaks so much to me of the role of grandparents in children's lives.

“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.”

Dinosaur feeders and goat riding boys, you go Jace and Jackson because your Nana and Pop Pop are right beside you.
