I’m determined to be positive in 2025, so this piece from Lisa Congdon seemed like a good way to start …
I confess that one of my favorite features in Wordpress was the photo gallery. Not to be denied, I’m going to try creating galleries in Wordpress and then move screenshots of the galleries into Blogger …
So Happy New Year everyone. May hope and peace be with you and yours.
And now that our grandkiddos have all headed home, I’m going to try to keep my resolution to make one peace pin a day …
So far, so good 😉
Happy New Year. I am so happy to have found your writing space in 2024. I am also going to pursue peace and hope and all the positive perspectives in this new year.
ReplyDeleteI am likewise glad to have found your “place” in the blog world and look forward to future posts
ReplyDeleteHi LA - so good to set ourselves touchstones to keep going back to during the year - positivity, care and peace are great touchstones. Wow - one peace pin per day - that is a real ask; but so good if you can maintain it as it will keep the peace vibe going. Go gently in 2025. B
ReplyDeleteB - May we all go gently … there can never be too much peace and love in the world
DeleteLove what you've shared from Lisa C. That sounds just right. And as always, it looked like you had so much fun with the family. :)
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed following Lisa Congdon on Instagram and am currently reading her book Finding Your Artistic Voice (which isn't so much about fiber art, but is interesting nonetheless) ... and yes, there were 13 of us for one crazy long weekend full of love and laughter
DeleteI have that book, haven't read it yet. Probably will this year, that's one of my goals...to read the books I have about creativity. :)
DeleteI love it when you post books on your blog … Have gotten many great reads as a result!
DeleteI’ll be relying on you, Liz, to help focus on the positive! Happy new year to you! You might want to check out PicFrame. I use it all the time to make mosaics and the free version offers plenty of configurations.
ReplyDeleteDee - thanks for the pro-tip … and yes, I do think I lean positive, but with a strong streak of skepticism
DeleteThat was Dee
ReplyDeleteIn some ways Liz I think the time between early November to the end of the year has helped us to process and ponder and choose to respond in small but positive ways. We all gave ourselves time to feel overwhelmed , but now we have been able to gather ourselves. Finding hope and peace and small ways through is the way to go! I simply LOVE your approach of leaning positive but with a strong streak of skepticism!!
ReplyDeleteFiona - I have cut way back on watching news commentary, choosing instead to mostly read NYT headlines and ledes to keep informed … and always there’s that “trust but verify” part of me that’s bred in the bone
DeleteSo yes, onward we go … positively skeptical and ever hope-full
